Burnmoor Tennis Club – Social Tennis, Competitions & Community Social Tennis & Court Access Members enjoy social tennis throughout the year, meeting for friendly games on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. These sessions provide a great opportunity to meet fellow players, develop skills, and enjoy the game in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our all-weather court is available for use seven days a week, allowing members to play at their convenience. To ensure fair access and smooth scheduling, we operate a booking system, which enables members to reserve courts and arrange matches with others. Whether you're looking for a casual hit or a more competitive match, there's always an opportunity to get involved. Competitive Tennis & League Matches Burnmoor Tennis Club is proud to be registered with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and actively participates in local competitions. We enter men’s and ladies’ teams in both the Northumberland & Durham League and the Sunderland League, competing against other clubs in the region. Players of all levels are welcome to take part, whether you're a seasoned competitor or just starting your journey in competitive tennis. Club Tournaments & Special Events
Throughout the summer season, the club organises a variety of exciting tournaments for members to test their skills and compete for trophies. These include:
- Men’s & Ladies’ Singles and Doubles Championships – A chance to showcase talent and determination in friendly yet competitive matchups.
- The Joe Stavers Tournament – An annual event held on a Sunday morning in late August, followed by refreshments and a social gathering, bringing the club community together to celebrate the sport.
The highlight of the year is our Presentation Night, where tournament winners are formally recognised and awarded their trophies in a lively and enjoyable evening. This event is a fantastic opportunity for members to celebrate their achievements and share their love for tennis.

- Juniors: £2.50 per year
